To mark their attendance as a first-time exhibitor at the forthcoming ScotPlant exhibition, recently appointed UK distributor for Metso mobile crushers equipment, McHale Plant Sales is promising to have a ‘top team’ presence at the event.

Seeing ScotPlant as a major opportunity to introduce McHale Plant Sales to Metso Lokotrack owners and operators, the company states that it is “looking forward to meeting and introducing itself to as many members as possible of Scotland and the UK’s quarrying and aggregates industries” and, with that for purpose in mind, a senior delegation from the company will be in attendance.

Present to receive visitors will be their UK Area Sales Manager, Andrew Stones, and Louise Hunter, Parts Sales specialist at the company’s new Scottish depot at East Side, Edinburgh.

Present also will be their managing director, Tim Shanahan; Business Development Director, Darragh O’Driscoll; and Sales Director, Denis McGrath. Others in attendance will include UK-based sales and aftersales personnel.

Speaking in ‘highly positive terms’ of the reception that has been afforded to the company and its personnel since its appointment to represent Metso in the UK took effect one year ago in April 2023, their managing director, Tim Shanahan said: “From a standing start, we have been overwhelmed by the welcome we have received, and by the extent to which customers have been interested to hear our Metso story and to learn about our plans”.

Pleased to be swelling the ranks of exhibitors at what is reported will be ‘the biggest event in the show’s  illustrious history’, McHale Plant Sales approaches the event with what Shanahan says is a record of ‘progress and achievement’ on all fronts, with growth in ‘machine placements’ and further personnel appointments in ‘customer-facing’ technical and sales roles.

On the product front, their focus at ScotPlant will fall on Metso’s large and diverse Lokotrack crushers range, with a LT116 jaw crusher model earmarked to be the featured unit displayed at the event . Track mounted and easily transportable, within the production site and from site to site, the Lokotrack the LT116 jaw crusher is a versatile, high capacity primary crushing that McHale says ‘is easy to transport and delivers productivity and  reliability at the worksite’.

Another significant part of the McHale story at ScotPlant will relate to the Metso mobile screens offering: a five-strong track-mounted line-up marketed under the Lokotrack ST brand, complemented by a seven-strong choice of Nordtrack ‘S’ mobile units.

From its UK headquarters in Tamworth and its recently opened Scottish depot at West Telferton Industrial Estate in Edinburgh , the company has a strong background in stone crushing that underpins its prominence in the sector.

Viewing ScotPlant as a high-level opportunity to meet-and-greet what their sales director, Denis McGrath says are the ‘great and the good’ of quarry operations, aggregates, and heavy-side building materials production, McHale Plant Sales views ScotPlant as an opportunity to ‘listen to and learn’ from the views of those attending, and to building a rapport with those ‘operating at the sharp end’ of the crushing business in the UK .

“In that respect, ScotPlant reaches beyond a ‘sales and product demo’ opportunity to be an ‘invaluable’ conduit through which one can meet customers to exchange knowledge and information, and to build the trust and friendship that we, in McHale Plant Sales, believe will shape the enduring relationships that are at the very heart of our trade,” McGrath added.
